How can I add or delete a payment method?

You can add or remove payment options in your Profile at any time. Personal accounts can have up to 2 cards uploaded to their account at any time, while business accounts can have up to 10.

Business users can designate a payment method as “business” or “personal”. Only business payment methods will be shown for business bookings, and personal payment methods for personal bookings. This helps to prevent any accidental crossover.


Adding a new payment method

During the booking process

You can add a new payment method during the booking process by clicking on:

  • "Add new card" if you are using the website or

  • “Add payment method” if you are booking through the Blacklane app.

When you enter a payment method while booking, it is automatically saved in your profile. Adding a new payment method will not affect rides that are already booked, as they will only be used for new bookings.

To your account

Via the website

  • Click your name in the top right and select "Account"

  • Scroll down to the “Payment” section

  • Click on “+ Add new card”

  • Enter your credit card information

  • If you have a business account: choose whether the credit card should be used for personal or business travel

  • Please note that on our website it is only possible to add credit cards.

  • If you wish to add another of our available payment methods, please do so through our Blacklane app.

Via the Blacklane app

  • Go to the payment tab

  • Click on “+ Add payment method” for iOS, or the “+” symbol for Android

  • Enter your payment method information

It is unfortunately not possible to update a payment method on an existing booking -- you would need to cancel the booking, and rebook with the new card.


Deleting a payment method

Via the website

  • Click your name in the top right and select "Account"

  • Scroll down to the “Payment” section

  • Click the trash can icon by the method you want to delete

  • Confirm removal in the pop-up message

Via the Blacklane app

  • Go to the payment section

  • Click on the “⊝” symbol for iOS, or the “⋮” symbol for Android next to the method you want to remove

  • Confirm the deletion

If you have upcoming rides booked with a credit card that you have since removed, please cancel and rebook your rides with a new payment method.
