I have an unexpected charge from Blacklane on my bank statement, what should I do?

Pre-authorization holds

When you book a ride, Blacklane reserves the expected amount on your card through a temporary pre-authorization. This is not a completed charge, although some banks display pre-authorizations in the same way as card charges.

Your card is charged 24–48 hours after the ride takes place. If a pre-authorization has been replaced or voided, it may remain visible temporarily while your bank updates your statement. For most banks, a voided pre-authorization disappears after approximately five days.

Check the full transaction description, which should include your nine-digit booking number in the format Blacklane*123456789. If the description is shortened or the transaction status is unclear, contact your bank for the full details. If the transaction is not a pre-authorization or cannot be matched to a booking, contact Blacklane Care.
