You’ll receive a confirmation email right after your booking is completed.
The notifications you get afterward depend on who made the booking — you (using your own account) or someone else (using theirs).
Below is a quick guide to show what messages you’ll receive and when.
Stage | If you booked yourself | If someone else booked for you |
Booking confirmed | Email notification | Email notification |
48 hours before pick-up | Email and SMS reminder | --- |
24 hours before pick-up | Email reminder | SMS reminder |
Chauffeur assigned | Email and SMS notification | SMS notification |
Chauffeur on-the-way | Email and SMS notification | Email and SMS notification |
Chauffeur arrived | Email and SMS notification | Email and SMS notification |
If you don’t receive an expected notification, please ensure your contact details (email and phone number) are correct in the booking.
If you booked the ride through your own account, you can also confirm your ride at any time via our AI chatbot, Fin.
When someone else books a ride for you
If another person — such as a colleague, assistant, or corporate account holder — makes a booking for you, the confirmation works slightly differently from a self-booked ride.
You’ll receive an email with a link to claim the ride and save it to your Blacklane account. If it doesn’t arrive, confirm that the booker entered the correct email address, check your spam or junk folder, and contact Blacklane Care with your booking reference if needed.
